I had a wonderful conversation with the head of production for Sorinex and wise words were put forth in that calm, introspective way that I have enjoyed for the past 12 years. Mike, a master of machining, production and dealing with people commented on a query by a customer. The question asked was why "it takes 8 weeks" to get strength equipment? Mike in a knowing way said "I wonder if he knew where milk comes from?" Since he is of mid west "hands on" origin I listened pretty close when he traced the steps of selecting the right calf , years of raising, careful feeding, doctoring, herding, getting up at 5am to do the milking, transferring the product to be processed, put in cartons, taken to the store, advertized, put on the shelf and then the "golden moment when WE walk in to grasp the carton and pay for it. Few of us take the time to understand the many steps and depth of follow through it takes to provide things like milk or even strength equipment......I learn a lot from Mike.RS
