The Sorinex Strength Mafia had a great time at the Arnold Sports Festival representing in black and red Sorinex shirts all weekend. Since so much happened, I will start with how our crew performed and then start new threads with strongman coverage.

We started Friday with Rich Williams and Tex Henderson completing the GNC Grip Gauntlet. Associates Andrew Durniat and Brian Shaw also completed the Grip Gauntlet this weekend as well. Great strength all around. This year the GNC Grip Gauntlet included a 50lb Blob, #3 COC Gripper, and a 208lb Rolling Thunder.

Rich Williams then followed up his dominating Gauntlet performance lifting a 240lb Rolling Thunder with both his left and right hand. Then certifying on the #3 COC under the watchful eye of judge Wade Gillingham.

After some great fun at the Gauntlet we moved to the ASC booth where Tex clean and pressed the 140lb dumbbell which was thought to have a 2.25" handle. He then did a 45lb Hub Lift that nobody else around was able to complete. Rich Williams took the 140lb dumbbell, single hand half hammer curled it to his shoulder, and then proceeded to complete 20 strict one arm presses, smiling the whole time. That was impressive.

Saturday brought the addition of Jason "Cyborg" Lawson to the crew. Of course we ended up at the GNC Grip Gauntlet again where Rich Williams certified with the #3.5 COC, again under the strict judging of Wade Gillingham. Tex put on a show with some Table No Set closes of the #3 COC. House lifted the blob and unofficially closed the #3 gripper.

Rich Williams, Tex Henderson, and Brian Shaw were all brought onto the main stage to see who could single hand lift the 202lb Circus Dumbbell. Tex Locked it out with great intensity, Rich upright rowed it before chest bumping Mark Henry, and Brian Shaw easily held it and gave a smile and a relaxing wave to the crowd of 1000's. Tex, Rich, and Brian join the elite group of Mark Henry and Odd Haugen as the only men who have single hand lifted the Circus Bell.

Cyborg then moved to the MHP Bench Press Bodyweight booth. Jason weighed in at 265lbs, so that is the weight the bar was loaded to. In true Cyborg fashion 30 reps were stroked out before the officials stopped him. He did not even rest until he hit 28 reps. House believes he could have ground into the high 30's if they let him keep going.

The Borg moved to the ASC Booth where he one hand clean and pressed the 140lb dumbbell.

All in all this was a great weekend for the entire Sorinex Syndicate. Posting PR's and having a great time.

We would like to give a special thanks to the Gillingham brothers who are always great guys who are a joy to be around and a great asset to all aspects of the strength community.
