The Weightlifting Exchange, another forum I frequent, has announced that they will will have massive video content of lifting at the Olympics. If you have ever watched the coverage on TV you may have noticed that all you get is the 'A' session lifters and world record attempts; sometimes we don't even get to see our own lifters. Weightlifting Exchange will carry streaming video of most of the sessions and I'm sure they will definitely cover the American team.

Here is the link to the forum: http://weightliftingexchange.com/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1

And this is the link to the announcement thread: http://weightliftingexchange.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=39&topic=4601.0#lastPost

Please let me know if these links don't work and please take advantage of this rare opportunity.

Below is my tentative schedule. I am only expected to cover A sessions but they tell me that if I wish to cover Americans in the B (or C) sessions then they will support the effort. I will do my very best to do so. I do not have an answer yet about WE hosting the video permanently and am not holding my breath.

Yes, to view the streams you will need Microsoft Silverlight installed: http://www.nbcolympics.com/pluginsneeded.html

Also, I was wrong about the video streams only being available live. They will be archived and available for viewing at any time, for a while.

1) I am told the archived streams SHOULD be available within 5-30 minutes of their ending, though this is a very large project and there could be problems.
2) The video will NOT be streamed on WE, only on NBC's site. I misunderstood their jargon.
3) The video on NBC's site (using Silverlight) is not currently working in all browsers+versions but these issues are being addressed and there will be a FAQ available that will hopefully address most possible problems.
