Sport Specific Training-part 1

Sprinting:
The goal is to run as fast as possible. Athletes use their legs and hips to generate the power to sprint around the track.
Analyze the needs of the event. Then tailor the exercises to the movement. These exercises should be dynamic in nature, coordinating the movement of the athlete. The training program should emphasize hip and leg strength. Utilizing lifts such as the Squat, Olympic Lifts (power clean, clean pull, hang clean),Romanian deadlift, single leg squat, along with supplemental exercises.
