Thanks for checking out my post, my name is Brian Thomas and I have recently been introduced to training in a whole new light. I'm not a huge guy that has been hitting the gym for years, I recently weighed in at 5'10" and 178lbs.
I just began training with "The Trilogy of Terror" about 6 weeks ago and it has been an enlightening process to say the least. When I walked into the gym I hadn't even seen a gym in about a year and a half. Day one I tipped the scale at 165lbs.
Now I don't know if any of you folks are mathematicians but that is a 13 POUND GAIN IN 6 WEEKS!!!!!:eek:
I achieved this by training in a way that I have never done before. I have not even changed my diet except for standard supplement intake.
My training consists of a lot of lower body workouts, and truly getting back to the basics. Squats, dead lifts, bench press, front squats, kettle bells, power cleans, lunges, and a lot of core exercises to name a few.
About 2 years ago I thought I was in the best shape in my life. I was doing the typical "Golds Gym" exercises because that was all I knew. I never did lower body and completely focused on defining my chest, abs, and arms.
The problem was I never gained strength with this workout. I didn't gain weight or mass, I simply lost it. What I thought was true training just simply wasn't! I can truly say that after training in the environment I'm in now, I know that I will be the strongest I've ever been in my life.
I am your average guy who works a 9-5 behind a desk all week, and I have gained 13 pounds of MUSCLE in 6 weeks by training my butt off. So, for all you folks that think you can't make incredible gains YOU CAN!
By the way you might notice me on some of the training videos, i'm the small guy that you might find yourself asking " what the hell is he doing there?"
Well the answer is training and gaining baby!!!
