Yesterday surrounded by a beloved group of supporters I tried after 8 weeks of training on the new #3 Ironmind gripper and following the strict rules of engagement I tried to re-certify as a "new" Captain of Crush. I was, I think, ready and drove the #3 down to what the respected, world class judge Will Millman said was the thickness of paper. In 8 total attempts I was hovering at 1/8 inch or less. No excuses I gave it my best, training I thought had peaked with a string of good training closes. I still struggle with the distraction and "dead stop" start following the removal of the credit card gauge but rules are rules and as my son said the passion of the day meant more to him than the closing. I will rest a bit and then continue on my next training cycle to finish this personal quest. Thankyou to each and everyone involved! RS

Just remember, "Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat".
The war is not over, far from it, it has only just begun.............

I'm sure you will get it. Probably on the next try if you were that close.

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”
